Mayor Robert Bobby" Eusebio

 Honorable Mayor Robert "Bobby" Eusebio

Any resident of Pasig will not deny the changes and contributions that the incumbent Mayor Bobby Eusebio has brought to the city. If you check the Pasig City website, you will see that it is always updated with the Mayor's latest projects and endeavors.

The Mayor's contributions to Pasig City are indeed commendable.

Robert “Bobby” Eusebio studied Architecture and was intent on pursuing a career in this field, building, what might become some of the most remarkable edifices and structures. Yet, as the son of former Pasig City Mayors Vicente P. Eusebio and Soledad C. Eusebio, he found it difficult to ignore public service when it beckoned in 1998.
Eusebio was elected No.1 Councilor of Pasig City, and was lauded Most Outstanding Councilor for three consecutive terms. Now, as Mayor of Pasig City, he is steadfast in his commitment to Security, Peace and Order; Education; Recycling and Environment; Business; Infrastructure and Housing; Youth Development; and Health.

He has vehemently supported the campaign against illegal drugs under the banner of the Anti-Drug-Abuse Council of Pasig City. As City Councilor, Eusebio was at the helm of alternative learning programs for street children, initiated the creation of the Pasig City Science High School, and effectuated the Barangay Computer Literacy Program.

An indefatigable member of the Committee on Ecology and Environment Protection, he has actively campaigned for the Brigada Berde and Bayang Berde programs which aim to tap idle lands for urban greening and vegetable farming. Eusebio has been unrelenting in his passion to empower the youth, personally funding Iskul ni Eusebio, one of the top three literacy programs in the NCR for providing non-formal academic and values education to streetchildren, the Bobby Eusebio Scholars and Talents (BEST) Program for harnessing the talents of indigent schoolchildren, and Lingap Bulilit for instilling in schoolchildren the importance of personal hygiene.

Eusebio might not have had an extensive practice building superstructures that he had initially conceived of, but he has, most definitely, significantly contributed to a more formidable Pasig City.

  1. I was once a residence of Caniogan and had a surprising response from the then Mayor Vicente Eusebio. On one of the Lingap, I represented the interest of the Bgy, with a Five Issues, as follows: l. The Problem on Out of school Youth; 2. Potable Water difficulties; 3. Septic; 4. Garbage and, 5.Niger Complexions of our Teeners due to Open Ball Court. Had to queue but reluctant, as each one is limited only to 3 cases, hence, yours truly had to pull out of line. The Mayor noticing what was transpiring, inquired, why. Had to retort that I had at hand 5 instead of the limit. Without so much ado, the Mayor tolerated the case I had on hand as earlier stated. As usual, I had doubts, as it is a political assembly. Sensing the matter, the Mayor then, assured, that in the Local lingo "Kayang-kaya yan, Upa lang ng isang building sa Ortigas Center" could solve the matter. Still I had the doubts, but whatever would come, it was a proving matter for a City Mayor. Surprisingly, coming home from my office, the access road was nearly closed. Complaining outrightly, the foreman advised, to call the City Hall. On the line then was the Mayor himself, alerting me that, this is his promise during the Lingap w/c is to start the construction to last 45 days. Undeniably, this convinced me that everything he said was certain and he is some kind of a different Breed.
Since that time I have been silently thinking of a serious fellow, your Dad, to factually do matters for his constituents. And upon reading the compliances of your task being the Mayor now, shows you have harnessed yourself of equal advocasy as your Dad.
One day, perhaps, should I come to the Metro Manila, I would hopefully find a much surprising surrounding of Pasig.
Bobby, kindly extend my regards to your Dad and Mom, and to you keep up the good work. Sa lahat-lahat, Patnubayan sana kayo ng Puon.
